Laying Down The Marble Block |

After
the cutting is complete, a deflated airbag is inserted (blue arrows)
between the marble block and the face
of the mountain where it was cut. The air bag is then inflated, which pushes
the block of marble away. Rocks and or other objects are placed in the
gap that has been created to keep the block from coming back to it's
original position. When the gap is large enough, hydraulic jacks are
inserted and used to push the block even farther away. |

falls over on it's front side. |
